Judging A Book By Its Cover...

Last Friday it so happens I was in John Lewis, only to accompany my sister in her 'what to wear to Nancy's wedding' shopping. While she was paying for whatever it was she had come there for, I (like an ADHD toddler) began perusing for distractions to amuse myself. Not by luck I believe, I was standing by a book stand and not long after realising I saw this beauty of a book pulling at my heart things (shiny, pretty, hummingbird and blossom tree things) I didn't bother looking inside. Instead, impulsively, I picked it up and strode to the cashiers counter knowing full well I was going to buy it regardless of whether it was a cleverly disguised book of Quantum Physics or a Book of Uglies (whatever that may be).

Since I left You

Sinceileftyou

Here's an update: It's Wednesday 3rd Feb, I am currently reading 'The End of Mr Y'. A book that took a hold of me with it's first words and plans to not let go until page 449 (I'm only on page 249). On my right hand too close to my wristbone is a burn mark telling of how much pressing I've been up to in the last few weeks...and cutting, sewing et al. Today I've worn the cardigan a certain gentleman surprisingly gave me - the power of thought and suggestion! I nearly released fluid when he said 'here have it'. Monsieur tighteth with my picking of his clotheth.

Talking of which I spent at least five minutes picking away the scatter of threads that dressmaking has sprinkled on me, otherwise my prize cardy would look no more a junkies throw. Clouds spelt rain today and I suppose the weather determined that I'll be wearing my PVC riding boots - YET AGAIN. I throw on my vest (because the fortune of a car means I don't have to dress for the weather) and my high waist vintage CK jeans. Not forgetting that huge ring I recently made! Bit of pink on the lips for fun and out the door. Running late for work again and I wonder why every Wednesday I am always late? Besides that though I've seen my last post about the Merci Me sale...Good gracious I forgot to post something about it! Here is what I should have posted:

Bonjour

Due to unforseen circumstances the sale has been postponed. Je suis desole for the inconvenience and any disappointment caused, but the sale does plan to happen soon, with everything as planned before and much more. So look out for a new date and stay tuned for even more pictures and updates of new pieces.

Amore Toujours

I suppose late is better than never! And here concludes a fill of the blank. Until next time.
