The moment has come for a new bag!

Jalal Leather Design in Camden Lock is the living proof that great design/high quality/friendly prices combination does exist, and it has emerged as the perfect spot for unique purchases enduring fashion seasons and emotional style cravings.

Located in the very heart of Camden Lock Market, Jalal Leather Design should be an obliged destination both for Londoners and tourists. Founded in 1986, owned and run by Jalal himself, this small but dazzling stand guests some of the most brilliant pieces of leather craftsmanship that I have personally ever seen.

The range offers satchels, messenger bags and saddles of variable size and style, all personally designed and handmade by Jalal’s hands. All leather is from Turin, Italy, a historical location for Italian manufactures that guarantees the high quality of the material.

The most amazing aspect of Jalal handbags is the uniquenessof every piece that he creates: “Every bag is made with different parts of one, big piece of leather”, says Jalal as I go through the spring/summer collection, eyes sparkling for the desire of buying everything.  “Getting one of these bags will ensure you to be the only one in the world to own it”. How cool is that?

The style differs (it goes from plain and coloured satchels to zebra/cow/leopard, long haired-faux fur messenger bags, snake printed saddles), and prices are extremely competitive (price/quality ratio): small saddles start from £65 and up to £145 (due to particular leather manufacturing), messenger bags around £110 and satchels £150.

It is possible to design one’s own bag choosing from the colour and leather range suggested by the designer; not to mention, the shop is also busy with limited editions and seasonal sales.

Besides bags, Jalal also works on belts and other small leather goods perfect for presents and as London souvenirs.

Jalal Leather Design is in 54 Camden Lock Place, NW1 8AF, London.
